This is a Superb English Mahogany Cellarette dating to Circa 1810. This cellarette of sarcophagus form, wonderful natural color and with a magnificent choice of Mahogany which has mellowed to a stunning patina that we see today. The whole of sarcophagus form with a cavetto moulded hinged top supported on a brass ratchet, enclosing the original lead lined interior with original stopper. The tapering body having cut corners, panelled sides with brass Lion Head rings to the front. Raised on finely carved lion paw feet and original castors. Supplied with the original working key and lock. This is an exceptional piece of furniture in great condition and of flat top form which makes it a more adaptable piece of furniture.
